ADS OS · CREDIT AND CLICKS

Advertise. Host. Understand your earnings.

Your ad uses advertising credit. Hosting a Displayer lets you accumulate earnings from eligible clicks, then withdraw the total.

ADS OS · INFO

Understand your ad

The Deposit prepares the ad; Displayers show it.

Choose the texture rating, drop your content and confirm with Done. A landmark and notecard are optional. Content must meet the network’s approval rules before it is shown.

What is ad credit for?

A top-up funds eligible clicks on your ad. The network’s click price is deducted for each newly counted visitor, only once per ad. Credit is not a weekly subscription and guarantees no number of visits. When it cannot cover another click, distribution stops. A top-up does not reset visitors already counted.

A boost increases priority, not credit.

When offered by the network, a boost doubles your ad’s rotation weight for the purchased duration: two draw chances instead of one, not a guarantee of twice as many displays. It does not add credit, reduce the click price or bypass approval. Distribution stops if credit runs out, even with an active boost. Pauses do not extend its duration.

ADS OS · PAY2VISIT

Who pays whom? Which account is charged?

Three separate operations: buying ad credit, withdrawing partner earnings and rewarding a visit.

1. Ad credit: advertiser → network owner

The advertiser pays the network’s Deposit. L$ leave their Second Life account and reach the Deposit owner’s account, normally the network owner. The website records the purchased ad credit; it does not hold the L$, and this payment does not fund the Wallet.

2. Partner earnings: network → Displayer owner

An eligible click consumes ad credit and adds the partner share to earnings available for withdrawal. The visitor’s account is not charged for clicking. On Withdraw, a network Deposit sends the L$: its owner’s SL account is charged and the partner’s account is credited. The Displayer requests the withdrawal; it does not pay. The Pay2Visit Wallet is not involved.

3. Pay2Visit: Wallet owner → visitor

This optional reward is for a validated visit at the destination. The Wallet pays from its own owner’s SL account, usually the advertiser’s. The visitor receives the L$. The Wallet budget is an authorised spending limit, not money deposited inside an object. Buying ad credit does not increase this budget.

The website tracks amounts; SL accounts hold the L$.

Remaining ad credit, partner reserves and withdrawable earnings are tracking figures. They do not guarantee the payer’s actual account balance. Debit permission is granted to the object that makes the transfer. Script Lab does not receive these ad or reward payments unless it is itself the owner of the relevant network or Wallet.

TWO COMPLEMENTARY ROLES

With or without a Displayer.

Hosting a screen does not automatically reduce your advertising price. Your partner earnings are separate from your ad credit.

01

Without a Displayer: advertiser

Buy credit from the network, then prepare your ad in its Deposit. Each eligible unique click deducts the agreed price from that credit. You receive no hosting earnings.

Delivery stops when the remaining credit cannot cover a click. A top-up lets it continue; it does not make previously counted visitors billable again.

02

With a Displayer: partner

Install a network Displayer at your venue. Once approved and active, it can earn partner shares from budget-funded ads, including your own when another avatar clicks. Your own clicks are excluded.

If you also advertise, you pay the network’s rate for your ad. Hosting a Displayer does not provide a free ad, an automatic discount or automatic top-ups from your earnings.

STARTING RATES

One click, a shared cost.

Example using the recommended values: each network sets its own prices and partner share. Check its terms before paying or installing a Displayer.

15 L$ = 8 L$ + 7 L$

On a partner’s Displayer

15 L$ are deducted from the ad credit: 8 L$ go to the Displayer owner and 7 L$ stay with the network. The 8 L$ are included in the 15 L$, never added to the click price.

On a Displayer owned by the network owner, no partner payment is made: the network keeps the L$15. On a partner’s Displayer, the share is added to their earnings pot and paid upon withdrawal.

300 L$ / 15 L$ = 20

A 300 L$ top-up

It funds 20 eligible unique clicks. If all 20 clicks come from partners paid 8 L$ each, that means 160 L$ for partners and 140 L$ for the network. Fewer partner clicks mean a lower total payout.

At the same click price, 750 L$ fund 50 clicks and 1,500 L$ fund 100. These examples show funding capacity, not a guaranteed number of visits or clicks, or a time frame for receiving them.

One pot, one withdrawal, one payment.

In the owner menu of any of your Displayers, Earnings shows your earnings across the network. Withdraw requests one withdrawal: a single available network Deposit pays the total. You do not need to visit each Deposit. If the withdrawal fails, your earnings are retained.

PAYMENT RULES

What earns a payment.

An impression alone earns nothing. An eligible click can pay the partner without the visitor subsequently visiting the destination.

One visitor, one ad, counted once

The same visitor can generate only one billable, rewarded click per ad, even across Displayers or after a top-up. Clicks by the advertiser or that Displayer’s owner are excluded. Complimentary ads do not earn partner rewards.

An eligible ad and an available payer

The ad must comply with network delivery rules, have enough credit and be eligible on that Displayer. The network’s Deposit handles the payout. If the payer is unavailable or cannot pay, paid clicks are suspended.

Complimentary ads and boosts

The network owner can grant a complimentary ad for a chosen period or indefinitely. These ads do not pay partners. A boost is a separate delivery option: it does not add credit and guarantees no clicks.

Track confirmed payouts

The dashboard separates remaining credit, planned reserves, available earnings, pending withdrawals and confirmed payments. The reserve does not measure the payer’s actual L$ balance. Earnings in the pot have not yet been transferred.
